TSD Announces Exclusive Partnership with the Highway Toll Administration for Transponder Rentals

TSD, the leading provider of management software for the rental industry, has announced its partnership with the Highway Toll Administration, LLC (HTA) for electronic toll collection services for rental car companies.

ANDOVER, MA (August 1, 2005)-TSD, the leading provider of management software for the rental industry, has announced its partnership with the Highway Toll Administration, LLC (HTA) for electronic toll collection services for rental car companies. ETC services involve equipping rental vehicles with electronic toll collection devices (transponders) such as E-ZPass, SunPass, 407ETR, etc. The programs, currently in the pilot phase, will provide rental customers the convenience of electronic toll payment, and generate additional revenue for the rental company and counter personnel through the rental of transponders.

TSD has developed a seamless transponder rental interface in their TSD RENTAL Management Software, allowing car rental companies to offer transponder-equipped vehicles to its customers. TSD is the exclusive rental management software provider with an interface to the program, which allows a customer to have the tolls during their rental billed directly to their credit card by HTA. The interface to TSD RENTAL Management Software further enhances the convenience of the transponder rental program by allowing the transponders to be attached to units in the program and added to a bill as a Daily Extra.

Electronic toll payment has become a popular and growing alternative to paying cash for tolls, with more than 20 million transponders in use in the United States and Canada. With the services of HTA and TSD, rental car companies are relieved of toll violations processing. HTA's program relieves rental companies with toll violations issues such as billing, dispute resolution, and customer service.
