TSD To Upgrade Cardholder Information Ecryption Method

TSD is taking a proactive approach towards improving the encryption security applied to cardholder information on TSD hosted software platforms.

While current encryption methods are considered adequate, TSD is taking it a step further and replacing the current method with a more secure, 256 bit AES algorithm. This is the most secure standard in the industry. All hosted TSD products which store cardholder information will be upgraded during the process which will take place over the next several months.

The upgrade process for US customers will occur between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. EST. International customer upgrades will occur between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. of the time zone in which their head office is located. Every attempt is being made to minimize the impact on our users. You do not need to do anything. The upgrade will be applied automatically, however you will not have access to your database during the process. TSD will work closely with all 24-hour operations to minimize downtime. For customers with smaller databases the update will be completed in a few minutes. For larger customers databases, the process may take several hours. Once the update has occurred, there will be no visible changes to any screens or reports, and in all likelihood, you will not be aware that the conversion has taken place. Due to the large number of customer databases involved, it is impossible to know on exactly which night your specific database will be converted.
